Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 6, 2026

1. Who we are

The Dilelang app (the “App”) for Android and iOS and this website are published by ANDINA REISEN S.A.C. (RUC 20614344858), a company incorporated in Peru (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions about your privacy, email us at [email protected].

2. Summary

  • You do not need to create an account or give us your name, email, phone number or any other personal data to use the App.
  • Learning progress is stored on your device. Purchase data and reports you choose to send are also processed outside the device, as explained below.
  • The App contains no advertising or tracking for advertising purposes.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data or share it for advertising.
  • Google Play or Apple processes payments; RevenueCat verifies Premium access. We never receive your card details.

3. Data stored on your device

To work, the App stores the following information only in its private storage on your device (a local database):

  • your level and progress (A1 to B2), streaks and practice statistics;
  • the exercises in your “Mistake forge”;
  • your settings (language, sound, reminders);
  • your Word chest progress and flashcard review dates;
  • the status of your purchases, to unlock the features you bought.

Progress is not synced to a Dilelang account. Your operating system may include local data in Google or iCloud backups according to your settings. Purchase data and voluntary reports are handled as described in sections 6 and 8.

4. Data we do not collect

The App does not require your name, email or phone number to learn, or access your location, contacts, photos or microphone. It does not use advertising identifiers. Purchases and voluntary reports involve the processing described in sections 6 and 8.

5. Permissions and audio

  • Notifications (optional): if you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules local notifications on your phone. Nothing is sent to any server, and you can turn them off at any time in the App or system settings.
  • Pronunciation: the App uses your device’s text-to-speech engine, which is provided by the operating system (for example Google or Apple) and is subject to its own settings and privacy policy. The App only passes it the German words and phrases to be spoken. The App does not use the microphone or record your voice.

6. In-app purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing (Android) or the App Store (iOS). Google and Apple process your payment data as independent controllers under their own privacy policies (Google, Apple). We never receive your card details.

When purchases are enabled, RevenueCat validates receipts and manages subscription status and Premium access using an anonymous identifier, purchase history and purchased products. We do not send it your learning progress or contact details. Payment still takes place through Google Play or the App Store. Sales reports are used for accounting, tax obligations, refunds and support for the periods required by law. The legal basis is the performance of the subscription contract and, for accounting and tax records, compliance with legal obligations.

To do so, the RevenueCat SDK also receives technical device and store data, such as the operating system, App version, store country and IP address. Learn more in RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

7. Technical information from the stores and this website

  • Stores: Google Play and the App Store show us aggregated, anonymous statistics (for example number of installs, country or OS version and, if you allowed it in your device settings, crash reports). This data is collected by the store, not by the App, and does not allow us to identify you.
  • Website: this site uses no cookies, analytics or advertising. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any hosting provider, may temporarily log technical data (IP address, browser and requested page) to serve the pages and protect them against abuse (Cloudflare’s privacy policy). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure website.

8. Reporting a problem

If you choose “Report a problem”, we send Google Forms the exercise type and identifier, prompt, the App’s answer and your answer, reason, optional comment, language, platform and App and content versions. We use the report to correct content; your entire history is not sent. Without a connection, it is saved locally and retried later. Avoid personal data in comments. You can request deletion at [email protected]. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by sending the report. We keep reports until the content is corrected and for no longer than 24 months.

9. If you contact us

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message only to reply to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your request or, where it concerns a purchase, the performance of a contract.

We keep these messages as long as needed to resolve your request and delete them no later than 12 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Our email provider may store them on servers outside your country; in that case we apply the safeguards required by applicable law (for example the European Union’s standard contractual clauses).

10. Who we share data with

We use Google and Apple for payments, RevenueCat for purchase validation, Google Forms for voluntary reports, and email and hosting providers for support and the website. These services process data needed for those functions under their policies. We do not sell data or share it for advertising. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Some of these providers (RevenueCat, Google, Microsoft for email, and Cloudflare) process data in the United States or other countries outside your own, which may not offer the same level of protection. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for participating providers or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

11. Security

Local data is protected by private storage and your operating system’s safeguards. Purchases and reports use encrypted connections. No system is completely secure: keep your device updated and protected.

12. Data retention and deletion

  • Local progress: “Reset the path” clears completed lessons and stars while keeping XP and your streak. Uninstalling removes the App’s local storage, but not system backups or reports already sent.
  • Accounts: there is no Dilelang registration or learning account. RevenueCat uses an anonymous identifier to manage Premium; it does not sync your progress.
  • Emails and other data: to ask us to delete the messages you sent us or any other data about you, email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days at the latest.
  • Purchases: Google and Apple manage payments. To review or request deletion of purchase data processed through RevenueCat, contact [email protected]; applicable retention obligations remain in effect. We keep purchase data while you have a subscription and, afterwards, for the periods required by accounting and tax rules.

13. Children

The App is an educational tool for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under 13. It has no advertising and requires no contact details to learn. Parents or guardians can control purchases using Google or Apple’s tools. If you believe a child sent us personal data by email or in a report, contact us to request deletion. If you are under 16 (or the minimum age of consent in your country), ask your parents or guardians for permission before sending a report or emailing us.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, Peru’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 29733 or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw your consent. Your progress exists only on your device: uninstalling the App deletes it completely, and “Reset the path” clears completed lessons and stars. For anything else, email us at [email protected] and we will reply within the time required by law (usually one month).

We do not sell or “share” personal data as defined by the CCPA, we do not build advertising profiles and we do not make automated decisions about you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country (in the EU, that of your Member State; in Peru, the National Authority for Personal Data Protection).

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add new features. The date of the last update is shown above. If a change is significant (for example, if we started collecting new data), we will announce it in the App or on the store listing before it takes effect.
